The Three Heads Recording Party

Saturday, August 30th was Three Heads Company’s first real whack at the business of being a label/production company.  We did this in the form of a party built around cutting a live compilation CD and DVD of our main and prospective acts. Did it go over well? “Better than we could ever have expected” is the only answer I can give you.

Now please realize, this was not all our doing. It was everyone’s doing, and we would like to thank all of you. To start, we would never have found such a perfect, cozy grove if it weren’t for Debby Black and her neighbor Joe granting us permission to use the two properties. The atmosphere of that land was too perfect to ignore.

There was quite a bit of work involved over the period of 3 months which was comprised of filling in ruts, tearing down the porch, painting, cleaning, grass control and acquiring a bit of poison ivy. Many people were involved in that endeavor and we honestly can’t thank you guys enough.

Our friends working the door also need to be noted. They gave up their time away from the show to make sure everything went well and everybody found their way in just fine. That was one hell of a sacrifice to make on a night like that. Another job that should not go unnoticed is the keeping of the fire. We all know who you are and thank you very much for keeping that social hub warm and inviting.

The vendors and everyone in the Three Heads tent need kudos too. A huge supplement to the awesome vibe we were all feeling and the income necessary to float this party, that little bit of Shakedown street was infallible. Also, without the coordinators this event might have not been able to occur.

We also need to thank our good friends who shot all of the footage and took a gazillion pictures of the whole thing. All of the bands and side acts also need to be thanked. The ego-less musicianship and professionalism was astounding and needs to be recognized. Actually, the same thing can be said about the sound and light people. I can only imagine what they’ll do next. I’m sure it’ll be phenomenal.

Now, finally, we need to ultimately thank all of you, the fans. All of the kids running around. The dogs. Everyone. You all made this show fun, warm, comfortable and incredible. We can’t thank you enough.

Now what? That’s what we are asking ourselves today. Well, first off, we will be throwing another show on New Year’s Eve. We definitely have plans to carry on the same atmosphere and hope that we can pull off another party of that caliber. In the meantime, the Three Heads Company will be present at the Diggity/Funkshoe/Chester Brown halloween show at St. Elijah Hall in Merrillville on October 31st. We hope to see you there, supporting the music and the cause.

Thank You
Three Heads Company

Funnest nights of all time...can't wait til next time!

What a fantastic event!

To everyone involved in making this happen: Thank you!!! The vibe was amazing and the music was unreal. I know how much work was involved in making this happen, and let me just say that all your efforts were worth it!

It was wonderful being able to have a front-row seat and at the same time, be able to do hair-wraps and meet with all the kind folk out there. Also, muchas gracias for giving me the opportunity to try out vending for my first time; I had a lot of fun, and I hope that I have the chance to do it again.

Once again, thank you for everything, and I look forward to your next shin-dig!
